We collect information only to operate the Academy, communicate with members, and provide coaching services.
1.1 Application Information
When you apply to join Unhooked Academy, you may provide information such as: name, email address, country or location, information about your goals, challenges, and habits related to compulsive behavior, and any optional sensitive information you choose to share.
This information is collected via Typeform and stored securely.
1.2 Account Information
When you join the Academy through Skool or purchase through Kajabi and Stripe, we receive your name, your email address, and payment confirmation from Stripe.
We do not receive or store your full credit card details.
1.3 Inside the Academy
Unhooked Academy does not collect or store community posts, direct messages, coaching call recordings, or progress data.
If we request permission to use a testimonial, we will always ask explicitly first and remove any identifying details before sharing it.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to review applications and determine whether the program is a good fit, provide access to courses and coaching, communicate with you via email and Skool, process payments through Stripe, improve program content and user experience, and maintain the safety and integrity of the community.
We do not sell or share your personal information with outside parties.
3. Sensitive Topics and Confidentiality
Unhooked Academy supports individuals navigating compulsive behaviors, including porn addiction. We understand the sensitivity of these topics.
We treat your information with a high level of confidentiality. Nothing you share with us privately will be disclosed unless you give explicit written permission or we are required by law to do so.
4. Communication
We communicate with members through email and Skool notifications or direct messages.
We do not use SMS, WhatsApp, or other texting platforms for program communication.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For individuals in the EU or UK, we process your information under the following legal bases: your consent, performance of a contract (for example, providing access to the Academy), and our legitimate interests in improving services and maintaining operations.
6. Sharing of Information
We only share information with essential third-party services that help us run the Academy. These include Skool for the community and course platform, Kajabi for email, website, and sales pages, Stripe for payment processing, and Typeform for applications.
These companies process data on our behalf and have their own privacy and security standards.
We do not share your information with assistants, contractors, or outside individuals.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as you are a member or until you request deletion. You may request that we delete your personal data at any time, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain records.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, withdraw consent, receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with your local data authority.

9. Not Therapy or Medical Treatment
Unhooked Academy provides education, coaching, and community support. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, or medical advice, and participation in the Academy does not create a therapist-client relationship.

10. Group Coaching and Live Sessions
By participating in any group coaching sessions, live Q&A calls, or interactive events, you acknowledge that these sessions are not recorded, that you are responsible for deciding what you feel comfortable sharing, and that other members are asked to honor confidentiality, even though we cannot absolutely guarantee their behavior.
We maintain a culture of respect, privacy, and psychological safety.
11. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure, including the use of secure platforms and technical safeguards. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely risk-free.
